LUIS CASTRO & CLAUDIA MENDOZA (ARGENTINA)

Claudia Mendoza and Luis Castro obtained the title of professor of Danzas Nativas Argentinas in 1976. In 1987 Rodolfo Dinzel invited him to participate in a research work on Tango-dance. Winner of the First Young Art Biennial of Buenos Aires in 1989 with his show "Crecer en 2x4". In 1990 Luis Castro started dancing with the dancer Claudia Mendoza, together they have exhibited in the most important theater of the world with the company of Tango Pasión and later with Forever Tango from 1992 to 2000. With this last one they were nominated in Broadway like Better choreographers for the following prestigious prizes granted by the specialized critic of New York: Tony Awards, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle. In 2004 they published in Italy the book "Vivir Embraados, tres ensayos sobre el Tango" together with the psychologist Evangelina Tribolo and the musician Franco Finocchiaro; Greco editions. In 2006 they published in Italy the Manual "Tango Argentino, el tango y su estructura", translated by Letizia Pini and with the musical advice of Gianluca Pozzi. This manual was translated and published in English in San Francisco, USA 2008.

The National Academy of Tango, in the year 2006 and 2008, named them Corresponding Academicians in Milano, Italy, for their research and dissemination of the Argentine tango in the world. In addition to the activity in different theaters, they have created a true school of tango with a Program of study, a Method based on a research work of more than thirty years on "The Origins" and the Evolution of Tango Dance ". Since 2004 they have been working as Maestri in Milan, since 2013 in the Cultural Association "Agarrate Catalina" Bergamo and in Lo Stanzone in Voghera.

 


ANALIA CARREñO & LUIS RAMIREZ (ARGENTINA)

World-class Argentine Tango masters, choreographers and profesional dancers who have been dancing together for 14 years.

With an exquisite identity and strong personality in their dance, they are invited to be part of the most important tango festivals in Europe, USA, Australia, Argentina and Asia, where they have been working for ten years.

 

As performers and dance captains, while they are in Buenos Aires, they work at the major Tango houses like Señor Tango and Esquina Carlos Gardel.

In addition, they regularly exhibit at the traditional milongas of Bs As. as Salon Canning and La Baldosa, apart from giving lessons and workshops at Escuela Mundial de Tango and Mariposita Studio.

 

They have also been convoked for judging at different preliminaries for the World Tango Championship in Argentina and other countries.

As directors and choreographers, they have created eight different thematic solo shows and the three big shows: "Back to Tango", to be world premiered in 2019 ,"TangoStory", Brazil 2017 and 2018  closing performance for Sao Paulo Preliminary of World Tango Championship with a cast of tango stars and world tango champions and  "ConjuroTango", their own tango company, born in 2010, with a cast of 26 artists including dancers, singers and musicians. ConjuroTango has toured around the major Opera Theathers of seven cities in China in 2011.

 


TZU-HAN & KYOKO (TAIWAN / JAPAN).

While teaching their own classes in Tokyo 5 days a week, Tzu-Han & Kyoko are regularly invited to do workshops at other tango studios. They have given classes or performances in Niigata, Nagoya, Osaka, Mantova, Elba, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei, Seoul, and Buenos Aires. They performed at the 9th Taiwan Tango Festival 2011, White Tango Festival in Moscow 2013, 12th Mantova International Tango Festival 2014, 2016 Korea Romantic Tango Week, 2016 Singapore International Tango Festival, 2016 Shanghai Tango Marathon, and 2016 Saigon Tango Festival. They were guest artists at the 2nd Elba World Tango Festival in Italy 2015.

ACO & MARIKO (JAPAN).

They won the second place at 2014 and 2015 Tango Dance Asian Championship. They have a high reputation for their elegant and skillful tango.

 

2014,2015年 タンゴダンスアジア選手権 準優勝。エレガントでキレのあるタンゴに定評がある。


KENJI & LILIANA (JAPAN)

Kenji and Liliana's repertoire stretches from the beginnings of Tango all the way to Tango Moderno. The combination of an acute sense for choreography and rigorous technical training makes Kenji and Liliana's dance let the audience feel the attraction of Argentine Tango and the joy of pair dancing.


EIICHIRO & MANA (JAPAN).

EIICHIRO. In 1995 he went to Buenos Aires and studied under the teachers such as Gloria & Eduardo, Roberto & Vanina, and Carlos & Alicia. He also studied tango under many other Maestro and Milongueros. After came back to Japan in 2000 he has arranged a wide range of workshops in various places including Tokyo, organized choreographies of many stages and films. He is also a show planner and a composer for many stages in restaurants and hotels. He also has trained many young dancers. In 2008 he won the Japan-Asia Tango championship in Stage Division.

MANA. She learned classical ballet at Matsuyama Ballet Company since childhood. After won some prizes in domestic ballet competitions and participated in the Lausanne International Competition, she encountered Argentine tango. After studied tango in Argentina, she participated in numerous competitions both in Japan and abroad. She won the 2013 Japan-Asian Tango Championship. Also in 2014 she won the Tango Championship in Stage Division both in Korea and Manila.


TAKASHI & MEGUMI (JAPAN).

In 2006 their talents were found by Mr. Taihei Kobayashi (the founder of the Argentine Tango Dance Association) and they became professional dancers. In 2010, 2011 they are finalists of "Tango Dance Asian Championship Salon Division" and won second prize "Stage Tango Division". In 2011 they are finalists of "Tango Dance World Championship Salon Tango Division" in Buenos Aires. Currently they perform numerous shows in various places. Their polite and precise teaching method from their stage experiences of the world tournament make lots of fans.


SUMIRE & TAMAI (JAPAN).

東京日本橋のボディワーク・ダンススタジオ「Studio RADA」主宰。コンテンポラリーダンスや芝居の造詣深く、企画演出にこだわったパフォーマンスを数多く行う。柔らかく表現豊かな現代的な踊りに定評があり、様々なジャンルのダンサーやアーティストと、タンゴを結びつける よう普及活動も積極的に行っている。様々な企画のオーガナイザーとしてもディレクションを行う。
